On behalf of Eagle Genomics, GT is looking to hire a talented Lead React Developer.

Eagle Genomics is a pioneering company working at the intersection of two exciting areas: life sciences and data science. Their AI augmented platform is revolutionising how scientists conduct life sciences research and is bridging the gap between data and new insights in a rapid, systematic, and traceable way. Eagle Genomics are putting data science at the fingertips of biologists to drastically reduce the time and cost of research, enabling customers to achieve radical productivity improvements and true data driven discovery. You will:

  • Collaborate: You will be Working closely with the Product Management team, you will be designing UI solutions from wireframes and building UI components to expand the services provided by the platform with a proficiency in ReactJS, Microsoft fluent design, monographs and micro-frontends.
  • Design: Using your experience of REST API or/and GraphQL you will connect the UI to the backend services designed on microservices architecture. With the experience should be able to review the UX workflow and design the UI components.
  • Solution: Responsible for understanding and reviewing the requirements, providing solution design and delivery scope.
  • Delivery: Influence on Code and Deliverables quality – code reviews, unit testing

You will need:

    • 10+ years of hands-on experience in Front-end development
    • Graduation level education in Engineering or MCA or M Sc (Computers)
    • Minimum of 5 years (and above) Experience in modern UI frameworks like ReactJS web/Native
    • Experience and expertise in HTML, CSS and JavaScript
    • Hands-on experience working with server-side JavaScript frameworks like Express based on Node.js
    • Familiar with UI design concepts and user interface design
    • Experience of working with CSS Pre-processors: SASS / SCSS, LESS, PostCSS
    • Experience of working in an Agile environment, particularly Scrum and JIRA
    • Experience of writing automated tests and testable code using Jest
    • Experience of connecting the UI with backend using REST API or GRAPHQL
    • Transforming UX wireframes/design into responsive web pages
    • Experienced user of the GIT/GITHUB repository
    • Knowledge in Microsoft Fluent Design or similar design frameworks
    • Ability to articulate and explain details around web development basics like browser security issues, iframe to iframe communication, https requests, CORS
    • Good understanding Web components framework

    A bonus if you have:

    • An understanding of Python or other scripting languages would be useful
    • Knowledge/Experience of working with data visualisation libraries like D3, Cystoscope or similar is a big plus
    • Experience or knowledge in other UI frameworks like Angular or Vue is desirable
    • Knowledge or understanding of the latest UI design concepts like micro-frontends and Mono repo
    • Understanding of microservices is desirable
