Hello! Meet Francesca and Julia, who are founders of Bimble. Together they build an app to save, discover, and share places. Wall Street Journal called it 'The Spotify of Travel'.

The platform's goal is to share insider knowledge with a community of people who want to experience places the way the locals do.

Even though Bimble was launched in February 2020, they already managed to build a community of 45,000 members and got:

  • 100,000+ SIGN UPS
  • 300,000+ PLACES

    Bimble is based in Oxford and has an external digital design team in London.

    Currently, Francesca and Julia are looking for a Senior Python Engineer that can work autonomously and take ownership of the backend. They are looking for someone who is excited about creating a truly best-in-class geo-locational app that aims to completely disrupt the way we search for and hold onto the places.

    Your mission:

    • Software development and database design.
    • Refactoring and code review.
    • Analysis of requirements and development of technical solutions.
    • Communicating with the client about the technical approach.
    • Participation in backend architecture discussions.

    Must-have skills:

    • 4+ years of experience with Python (Flask).
    • Experience in working with REST APIs.
    • TDD.
    • Experience with relational databases and NoSQL.
    • Experience with Google Cloud or other cloud providers (AWS, Azure).

    Desirable skills:

    • Experience with microservices development.
    • Google Map API.
    • Google Cloud Datastore.
    • CI/CD tools.
    • Experience with Docker, Docker Compose, Kubernetes.
    • Some experience in SRE.
    • Some experience with MQs (AWS SQS, RabbitMQ or other).
    • Some experience with React, Redux, TypeScript.

    Interview stages:

    1. HR Interview (30m).
    2. Technical Interview (1h).
    3. Reference check.
    4. Interview with the founders (45m - 60m).

    Working Model:
